SEGfL Birdbox Project

The South East Grid for Learning Birdbox project provides schools with an opportunity to share video and data streams collected from nesting boxes, mounted within their school grounds, and fitted with video cameras and other data gathering equipment. We were commissioned by the SEGfL to produce a video case study of the project, to highlight the fantastic impact the project is having on the children and their learning.

We visited various schools across the south-east, filming children as they worked on a number of data-gathering exercises with their bird boxes and around the school grounds. We interviewed children and teachers about the project, found out about what they had been doing, and how they were using the results of their data-gathering.

The completed video, which you can watch on the left, will be streamed on the SEGfL website, and shown at various education events across the country. You can find out more about the on-going project at the SEGfL Birdbox Project website.
